The yet to be titled movie is Udayanidhi Stalin’s second venture after Kuruvi. Rajnikanth smooths way for Kuselan in Karnataka

Pazhani somehow gets to stick on....

Cast : Bharath, Kajol Agarwal, Kushboo, Biju Menon, Raj Kapoor, Aishwarya, Seetha and others
Producer : Shakthi Chidambaram
Director : Perarasu
Music : Srikanth Deva
Editor : Saravana
The fact is that you may all know what would be expectations when a film is presented by Perarasu. I am sure it would be an entertainer that doesn’t want you to be cognizant and Pazhani in no way disapproves of it. Yup! If you pined for such a flick then catch up for Pazhani, a movie that has commercial entities of Perarasu. Bharath has….. Please wait for a moment for we will get on with analysis, soon after glimpsing through synopsis.

The film opens with Pazhani aka Vellayan (Bharath) behind the bars getting released and you have to bear few things with unwanted fight sequences that happens for no reason. Then comes the title song that is rendered in adoring great film personalities like MGR, Sivaji Ganeshan, M.Karunanidhi, Superstar Rajnikanth, Vijay and Ajith. But you must not get tensed with the way of Bharath getting introduced and certain groups would sure laugh for no reason during first half an hour of the movie.
Fine! Let’s not keep ourselves to dragged with scene descriptions. Getting on further, Pazhani (Bharath) has an intention of working under great tycoon (Banuchander) and his innocent wife (Kushboo). Pazhani earns good credits and blessings for his work and loyalty he has for them. But twist takes it turn, when Pazhani learns that Kushboo’s life is in danger and its Aishwarya is the cause.
But he has to further bear the shock when he comes to know Banuchander is the main culprit behind attempts to kill her. Eventually within couple of scenes, it is revealed that Pazhani is none but younger brother of Kushboo. Rest of the film will center on why Kushboo has been so negligent in accepting her brother and that goes with a flashback…..
Perarasu seems to have mastered the pulse of his audiences: their likes and dislikes. And this is more evident with the frames he has shaped by adding equivalent parts of action, comedy, romance, and sentiments. Well, he has to be appreciated for his bold attempt of appearing on the screen uttering punch dialogues. But this raises doubt among ourselves at least for few seconds, is it a feature film or home video? Bharath has tried something different on action role and that does help to some extent and he proves his ability to come up with different roles. But it’s a great disappointment from Kajol Agarwal for her performance is not up to expectations. If she has plans for establishing certain place for herself in Kollywood, then she has to improve a lot with her performance and body language. Kushboo does justice to her role with her performance in both general
and sentimental scenes.
Speaking about technical aspects, it gives us a great surprise is that Vijay Milton’s cinematography. With that remaining as a great question mark, Sri Kanth Deva does a good job with his background scoring but that’s not the same with songs…
On the whole, Pazhani somehow gets to stick on as a great entertainer for B and C centres. Well, if you are ready to watch a movie leaving your brain outside theatres…
