Yaaradi Nee Mohini censored with U certificate
Yaaradi Nee Mohini starring Danush and Nayantara in the lead role has been censored with U certificate. The movie is now ready for release in the first week of April.
The movie starring Dhanush and Nayantara in lead roles is a remake of Telugu hit Adavari Mataluku Ardhalae Verulae (directed by Selvaraghavan). Jawahar, an associate of Selvaraghavan, directs the Tamil version.The shooting for the movie commenced last month in Chennai followed by a few scenes in Hyderabad.
The movie is said to be a perfect for the family audience according to the censor board. Riding high on the success wave of the last year Deepavali release Polladhavan, Dhanush will try his chemistry with Nayanthara for the first time in Yaaradi.

This is exactly the style of narrative that director Venkat Prabu intends to follow in his upcomming movie Saroja.
Saroja by Amma Creations will have Vega a Mumbai Model doing the central character of Saroja around whom the movie revolves. Venkat Prbahu’s close pal and producer SPB Charan is acting in Saroja. Premji Amaran and Siva of Chennai 600028 fame are also in the film. Venkat Prabhu will handle the story, screenplay, dialogs and direction and production is by S. Aruna Maheshwari. Nirav Shah replaces Ratnavelu for Robot
The current cameraman for Robot is R.Ratnavelu, not sure for how long, but lets hope he is the one who is going to stick to the project till the end. Robot the big budget movie by director Shankar, starring none other than Superstar Rajinikanth and Bollywood bomb Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has been having replacement of cameraman quite frequently since the project was announced.
The initial chose for shooting Rajini and Ash and the Robot was Nirav Shah, but he walked out. He was replaced by Thiru but looks like there has been differences with Thiru too and he has been now replaced by R. Ratnavelu.
The reason seems to be that Shankar has insisted his crew to be completely dedicated to Robot for the next 2 years and it is a difficult task for many to do. Lets hope Ratnavelu gets to be associated with the movie which will go down in history!!

At first, I was not sure whether to take up the film or not, as I have not done such roles in Telugu earlier. However, producer Satyanarayana Garu convinced me to give the nod. I began liking it after reading the script a couple of times. It is not a love story but a fun film. I play the role of a sweet, simple and lively girl who loves helping others.
A glance into her sparkling eyes and her cute face is enough to makes guys go mad. Yes, Bhumika Chawla has become the darling of young hearts following her splendid performances in reel. She has left her footprints in Telugu, Hindi and Tamil films, and now set to make a mark in Punjabi films too. She is excited about her new Telugu film titled ‘Maya Bazaar’, where she acts with Raja. Now, she tells more about the film, her experiences and much more.
Do you feel comfortable working in the South?
I have a special attachment to the South, and maybe it is because I started my career here. People in the north asked me if I were doing a Madrasi film when I first stepped into films but I told them that I was working for a Telugu film, which is a different language. It was tough initially since the language was strange. I thought of returning back home on the fourth day of shooting but my mom convinced me to complete the project. At the end of the day, all the trouble vanished and my dream came true. Fame and fame came and there was no stopping since then.
How was your experience in Tamil films?
My Tamil debut film ‘Rojakootam’ is still close to my heart. We had lots of fun shooting for the film. I have no regrets though ‘Sillunu Oru Kathal’ failed, as I enjoyed working for it, and most importantly, people liked my character. It was great working with Surya and Jyothika. You know, Surya is such a humble man.
Actress Shreya Reddy Weds Vikram Krishna ...
VJ turned actress Shreya Reddy and producer Vikram Krisha will enter wedlock this Sunday in Chennai. The reception of the couple is scheduled tomorrow at Kalaignar Arangam in the premises of Anna Arivalayam, in which Chief Minister M Karunanidhi is expected to participate.
Vikram Krishna, son of producer G K Reddy and brother of actor Vishal, started his career as an actor in ‘Pooparikka Varukirom’. He acted with veteran Sivaji Ganesan in the film. Later, he became producer and funded many films of Vishal, under the banner G K Film Corporation.
Shreya Reddy is the daughter of former cricketer Bharath Reddy. The dusky beauty started her career as a VJ in S S Music channel. She went on to become actress in ‘Thimiru’, produced by Vikram Krishna, where Cupid played between the two.

The film was a great hit. Then a lot films have come around with reagard to the globalization and the changes in the economy. Now-a-days its the world of Call Centers. Each and every nook and corner of the city has been piled with the call centers. Being this the trend, director, Gautham Menon, is all seto make a film with Trisha, with related to this. The title of the movie is Chennaiyil Oru Mazhai Kaalam.
In this film, Trisha, would be playing the role of a call center girl. The movie would deal with the various developments, in the cosmopoliton culture. The movie is scheduled to hit the floors after Gautham Menon’s
Vaaranam Aayiram.. The movie would deal with the various aspects of the life in the Call Center. It would also portray the night life of the call center employees, the huge salary packages and also their family and health problems. The film also tries to show the IT culture prevailing in the city.
Director Gautham Menon has started shooting for “Chennaiyil Oru Mazhaikaalam” with Trisha in the lead. Nikita, who had a brief stint in Tamil and now in Telugu, Nethra who featured in “Thoovanam”and four boys Veera, Dev, Satish and Shyam, are the other actors and they are all new faces. Nethra was signed on recently after Gautham reportedly saw the promos of Thoovanam in which she portrayed the role of an NRI girl. “Chennaiyil..” is the story revolving around IT professionals. Gautham has just competed 15-day shoot for the film. It is a new genre which Gautham has not tried before. According to him, it will be a complete entertainer, a light film with Trisha leading the cast. Though Nethra is to play a complementary role, she believes her role also will be significant one. “Every character in Gautham sir’s film is well drawn out. So I am rest assured about mine too,” she told mediapersons. She is all praise for Gautham. Though she is a newcomer, requiring several re-takes, “Gautham sir was very patient with me and never lost his temper at any point of time” during the 15-day shoot, she said.
Originally, “Chennaiyil…” was announced as a project with actor Surya in the lead. Gautham clarified that “Chennaiyil..” with Trisha and a whole lot of youngsters is new and the story is different. He has taken only the title. The earlier “Chennaiyil..” with Surya has been renamed “Vaaranam Aayiram” which is on hold with Surya getting busy with another project “Vael”. On the technical front, Gautham has music is by A.R. Rehman, art direction by Rajeevan and editing by Antony.
2008 is going to be Trisha’s best year in her career
Trisha is going to play the heroine for NTR in a forthcoming starrer in the direction of VV Vinayak. The film will be produced by Kodali Naani. Vinayak had earlier directed NTR in his two blockbusters ‘Aadi’ and ‘Sambha’. Trisha, who acted with big stars Chiru, Venky, Mahesh, Prabhas and Ravi Teja, will be doing female lead to NTR for the first time. Currently, she is engaged to Nag’s starrer in the direction of Seenu Vytla.

Kamal Haasan fans has to wait till april for Dasavatharam audio
The audio launch of Dasavatharam has been postponed once again. The launch initially planned for Feb, then postponed to mid March and then further postponed to April 2nd has been postponed once again. The buzz is that to suit the dates of actor Jackie Chan the audio release has been postponed by another week. Eminent personalities like Jackie Chan, Amitabh Bacchan, Aishwarya Rai, Mohan Lal, Upendra, Chiranjeevi and many others are said to be attending the event.
SONY BMG has bagged the audio rights of this movie Dashavatharam and is making preliminary adjustments for the great occasion of audio release. It is slated to be held at Nehru Indoor Stadium where full version of trailer will be released. Due to the postponement of the audio launch, industry sources expect a delay in the release of the movie, to May 2008.
Dashavataram features Kamal Haasan in ten different roles, the movie has Asin in the female lead role. Mallika Sherawat too dons a prominent character.
Balu Mahendra looking for actress tabu for his next project
Seems that director Balu Mahendra was under a lot of diallema, for who would don the actress role inhis next film, Anal Katru. But no one could fit the role aptly, according to him.
After the movie Adhu Oru Kanakalam, Balu is doing this project, Anal Katru. The launch of the film took place with the other film, Indiravizha. But Balu is yet to start the shoot. Ettappan a remake of the Kannada movie Buddhivantha
Ettappan, the movie starring Srikanth and Navya Nair has gone in for a name change. This movie a remake of the Kannada movie Buddhivantha, which stars Kannada star Upendra in the lead is a story of a protagonist with lot of negative shades.
In accordance with the negative shades of the hero, the movie was named Ettappan. But the people of Ettayapuram, have raised objection against the use of the title.
The people of Ettayapuram feel strongly against the stroy that Ettappan betrayed Kattabomman and objected to Ettappan name being used to describe a traitor or one who cheats.
The crew of the movie have decided to respect the objection of the people of Ettayapuram and change the movie title from Ettappan to AVal Ullaththai.
Is this name change due to the objection of people of Ettayapuram or does it have something to do with Tamil Nadu state governments decision to give tax concession to only suitable Tamil titles. Only the crew of Ettappan oops Aval Ullaththai can give a honest answer!!
Malaikallan movie name reused by Rajkiran for his next project
Malaikallan the film which created waves in Tamil Nadu in 1954 with M G Ramachandran and Bhanumathy cannot be easily forgotten by movie buffs. Now the title of this film is being used by Rajkiran for his next project to be produced and directed by the actor himself who also will be donning the main role.
Drawing parallels between the two movies, Rajkiran says, “I am acting in this film with the same objective for which the legendary M G R acted in the old film. My film will talk about a society when it is totally revamped in economical, political and sociological front”. He also said that he will be doing roles which will be in sync with his age. The usual sentiments which are unique to his films will find place in Malaikallan too. Rajkiran is planning to start the shoot by May and release the film for Diwali.
