Shreya's second international project
Shreya Saran has signed her second international project, but this time with noted filmmaker Deepa Metha. The actress, who debuted in Hindi with Mahesh Bhatt's Awarapan is visibly thrilled to have bagged a role in this international production titled as What's Cooking. The film is jointly produced by Deepa Mehta Combine and BR Films.
This is Shreya's second international assignment as she is already doing Ashok Amirtharaj's Other End of the Life with Jesse Metcalfe, directed by Jimmy Dodson. In Deepa Metha's What's Cooking, Shreya is going to play an important role. Seema Biswas and Lisa Ray are also in the cast. According to the director, the movie is at present being shot on locations in New Delhi.
Shreya said, "I couldn't believe when Deepa Mehta called me to offer a role in her movie. I am really happy with this offer and I hope it is a chance to know the other sides of good film making. It will be a new experience for me."
Currently, Shreya is working in Sangeeth Sivan's Ek, which also has Bobby Deol and Nana Patekar in the cast and Apoorva Lakhia's Mission Istanbul, also starring Abhishek Bachchan, Sunil Shetty, Vivek Oberoi and Zayed Khan. In Tamil, she is the lead lady in Vikram starrer Kandasamy and yet to be titled Dhanush film.

Known for exposing her alluring looks and not more in acting, Shriya Charan had her course of problem with Director Susi Ganeshan. Shooting for the film Kandasamy had commenced before three months and they weren’t able to shoot in the deep-rooted forests of Kenya due to civil war problems.
Now back to Chennai, the team had its shooting recently at MRC Nagar with the team consisting of Vikram, Shriya, Director Susi Ganeshan and cinematographer Aekamabaram. This was an actually an intimate scene where the heroine kisses Vikram. Shriya had kissed him for couple of times and she had to outburst with anger when the director demanded for one more take.
Broken out with more angriness she walked out of the sets, saying she cant go for one more take. Now this raised a big question mark whether she would sustain in the film or get out of it???
