Meera Jasmine’s career has gone downhill in her home state, Kerala. Malayalam Film Association, AMMA, has shown the doors to Meera Jasmine, and has banned her to act in the Malluwood Films. she has been banned from acting in any Malayalam movies until AMMA lifts the ban.
The reason for the ban seems to be that in the movie, Twenty:20, all the Malayalam celebrities are going to play a role, free of cost. When Meera was approched for a role, she rejected to be a part of the film, for she had a clash with the dates of the Telugu movies. The proceeds from Twenty20 movie will go for the Association welfare funds.
It remains to be seen how Meera’s career will fare as she doesn’t usually sign many Malayalam movies and her only movie in Kollywood is the recently released Nepali.
Meera has banned her to act in the Malluwood Films.

The fact of the matter is that BCCI is not a democratic body run by professionals, i.e. retired Indian cricketers, who have played internationally and performed creditably at that level (and assisted by professionals and advisers to help them in churning out money and ensuring that every single penny earned and spent is well accounted for and made available for Government and the public scrutiny).
Moreover, BCCI is not accountable to the Ministry of Sports (MOS) and MOS does not monitor the workings of this richest cricketing body, which has bizarre characters on its Board. Honestly speaking, I really wonder whether these blokes have the interest of the game in their hearts, rather than vested interests considering the rabid passion and mania Indians have for cricket, which even a pauper can exploit and tap to become a multi-millionaire overnight.
In short, BCCI is a massive pot of honey that attracts flies. People can see it for themselves, if they considered the backgrounds and professions of the personalities who feign interest in cricket. Otherwise, why are these characters fighting ferociously like dogs and indulging in all sorts of tactics, not necessarily clean, to get elected?
If they want to promote, develop and propagate cricket, then why not other games which are played internationally, namely soccer, hockey, athletics, boxing, billiards, snooker, aquatics, etc., etc.? This is simply because there is dearth of money in these sports to satisfy their hunger for money and power.
In fact, they should take much interest in other sports, because if India wins medals in these meets, then they would put the country on the world sporting map. Moreover, winning medals at Olympics, World games, other international events, etc. are more important than winning awards in cricket. Further, it would propel and catapult their names on international sporting stage, rather than just cricket, which is hardly known in a very few countries, rather than the entire world.
Well, what led to the formation of IPL. The answer lies with the tussles Zee Telefilms had with BCCI, including the court cases for TV rights for telecasting various matches.
Ultimately when Zee Telefilms decided to launch cricket under the name of Indian Cricket League (ICL), Sharad Pawar and his bunch in BCCI, a body whose workings are not known to most people, got offended and started crying foul. The creation of ICL created a fear in BCCI and immediately led to raising the earnings of Indian cricketers and the decision was taken to launch the IPL to counter ICL.
In short, Zee Telefilms is the responsible for the formation of IPL and, if not for them, cricketing world would not have heard about IPL and only a handful of cricketers would have continued making money, with the majority of them having to console themselves with the peanuts paid to them by their respective State Boards for their services. Therefore, Sharad Pawar and his bunch should not claim credit, because formation of IPL was not their brainchild. They got aroused from their deep slumber only when Zee TV took the bold decision to form ICL to promote the game and give opportunity to budding cricketers to earn decent cash, even if they did not get the opportunity to play for their country.
In short, Sharad Pawar and his bunch need to thank Subhash Chandra for forcing them to launch IPL, because BCCI felt that ICL would be a threat.
‘Thai Kaviyam‘, Movie script written by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.Karunanidhi.
Pa. Vijay’s movie Thai Kaviyam is going to have a twist in its song list. The movie will have the Ovvoru Pookullame song which featured in Autograph. The song had been penned by Pa. Vijay himself and he felt that it would be appropriate in a situation in the movie Thai Kaviyam.
National award winning popular lyricist Pa. Vijay is to do hero role in ‘Thai Kaviyam‘, script of the film is written by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.Karunanidhi.
The story is based on the famous Russian author Maxim Gorky’s “The Mother”. Thai Kaviyam is being directed by ‘Bali Srirangam’ and it is formally launched by Karunanidhi. Thai Kaviyam marks the debut venture of Pa Vijay as hero with a newcomer Bali Srirangam directing the movie. Vidyasagar has scored music for the movie.
13-B Mein Sab Khairiyat Hain in Hindi bilingual film for Madhavan
Yavarum Nalam (13-B Mein Sab Khairiyat Hain in Hindi) is a forthcoming high budget bilingual film for Madhavan, directed by Vikram K. Kumar of Alai fame.
Yaavarum Nalam is a story about the sudden happenings in the life of Manohar (Madhavan) after he and his brother buy a huge flat (13-B). Acting as Madhavan’s wife Priya in both the versions is Neetu Chandra. Madhavan’s character is the only person to be aware of the things around. How he saves his family forms the crux.

Vijay's Singam is said to be a racy movie
The Pokkiri success combination of Vijay and Prabudeva will be comming together again in Prabudeva’s next direction. The movie titled Singam is said to be a racy movie with all the ingredients Vijay fans will love. The movie is all set to hit the floors after Prabhudeva completes the Hindi version of ‘Pokirri’ and Vijay completes Kuruvi.
Meanwhile grapevine is abuzz that Nayantara has been approched to act in this movie. Nikita has refused to act with superstar in Kucheludu
For an actress, turning down an offer with actor like Superstar Rajini is really unwise decision. Take the case of actress Sada. Actually, Shankar fixed her as the heroine of Rajini in Shivaji. Shankar and Rajinikanth are very fond of Ash for Robot
"Is she plays the role of Robots lady love or someone will replace her?" This is the question raised by media for the past two days. The thread was actually started by a Mumbai tabloid that reports that Shankar plans to shoot Robot over a period of two years. That apparently is not acceptable to Aishwarya who cannot afford to give so much of time to a project. It says further that just because of this Shankar is thinking of replacing her with actress Deepika Padukone.

The actress said further, "Rajinikanth, being the senior, has shown no egoistic traits in approaching me for his last four films. And my refusal to do his films was never misunderstood by him. I admire him for that. What a cultured man he is! It speaks volumes for his seniority and his caliber as a human being to never take offence to my attitude."

Tamil Actor Raghuvaran passed away in a hospital in Chennai
The quintessential psychopathic baddie of Tamil cinema, the man who gave villainy on screen a good name, Raghuvaran died here at a private hospital after battling personal demons and a few other debilitating physical problems. He was 49.
Raghuvaran is survived by his former wife actress Rohini (the couple had divorced) and their son, Nanda.
Raghuvaran had been unwell for the last few years and had taken a sabbatical from active films for some time. Sivapathigaram, released some time last year, marked his comeback. After that he was a regular figure acting in big films including Rajnikanth’s Sivaji. His last release was however Sila Nerangalil and Bheema (which had been made some time back).
The life of lanky Raghuvaran, who made his debut as a brooding Commie hero in Ezhavathu Manithan under the direction of Hariharan, eventually turned out to be bitter-sweet as he had to constantly fight his tendency to embrace the easier pleasures that were easily available to impressionable youngsters in Kollywood.
Unable to handle the success and fame that came his way early, Raghuvaran fell into bad habits, from which he never really came out till his untimely death today.
But even as he was living life on the edge with women, wine and many other seductive things, Raghuvaran also managed to win a name for himself as someone whose acting ability was refreshingly sans the usual Kollywood cliches. After playing hero roles not with egregious success, Raghuvaran was quick to switch over to the archetypal middle-class character roles. Films like Samsaram Adhu Minsaram, Aaha, Mugavari, Amarkkalam, Run, and many others with Rajnikanth including Muthu, Arunachalam, Siva, Sivaji, Raja Chinna Roja proved his versatility.
But it was as a villain, with shades of deep black and a touch of enigmatic and over-the-top eccentricity, that Raghuvaran’s eventual screen image came to be defined. The scene in which he completely lets himself loose, mouthing ‘I know’ for heaven knows how many times, in the film Puriyatha Puthir, became so popular that his real-life image was almost suspected to be something similar. It was one of the myths that he could never really shake off.
But even as he was fighting what eventually turned out to be a losing battle with the bottle, a spiritual and an ersatz philosophical side to his persona also opened up. He also became a devotee of Sai Baba. It was during this phase he struck a romantic chord with actress Rohini and married her.
The marriage, as it happened, like his film career promised a lot, but ended up mighty short. The couple had a son Nanda, on whom Raghuvaran was doting. When the marriage ended up in the courts, Raghuvaran became an even more broken man and reportedly fell into his self-created abyss. Though well-meaning individuals, who thought highly of his acting skills, tried to shore him up with some film offers all through last year, Raghuvaran was for all practical purposes had called it quits — on films and life too.
In the event, his end, though surprising in its immediate aftermath, was something that was foretold the moment he courted early success. Raghuvaran’s life, like some of his movies including the almost biographical Idhu Oru Manidhanin Kadhai, was something of a cautionary morality play. A noir show of how success could be as lethal as a failure, sometimes.

Trisha claims that she is No 1 in Tamil and Telugu and feels Asin has disappeared totally from cine industry.
Yesterday, while speaking to reporters after a long time, she says that she is busy in atleast 3 films in Tamil which includes Kuruvi and two films in Telugu. She also adds that there are plenty of offers pouring in from Hindi, but she does not want to move out of Tamil and Telugu and as she is happy here as No1.
According to her, to attain the number one status in cine industry, it is not just beauty and hard work sufficient. She adds that there are many girls in the industry who are beautyful and who work very hard than her are not able to sustain in the industry.

Rakesh Roshan signs the top Latin actress "Barbara Mori" as the leading lady of his upcoming film "Kites" opposite Hrithik Roshan.
The film is also starring Kangana Ranaut and is set to be directed by Anurag Basu along with the amazing musical composition by Rajesh Roshan. The remaining cast and credits are currently being finalized. The casting is taking place in Bombay & Los Angeles.
